Buzzzzed OFF!

No. 1
Now that spring has almost sprung it’s time to get that haircut ready for the heat of summer.  The trendy summer look for 2011 is the butched-up crew cut.  Talk about versatility, this bad boy can be worn with respect during workday corporate meetings or can be turned into a rebellious afterthought for Friday nights on the town.

Real Men Don’t Eat Marshmallows or Do They?!

No. 1
White Russian Marshmallow
It takes a true creative soul to invent a product like cocktail marshmallows! The White Russian marshmallow is one of the signature cocktail creations whipped up by food artisan Sugar Poofs. The company name itself doesn’t do much for the fragile male ego but the designer marshmallows they create sure makes the humiliation go down a little bit easier. This fluffy concoction is made with Kahlúa, Irish Cream, and cane sugar and tastes true to what you would order from the guy on the other side of the bar. So fellas, next time you’re out camping with the boys and feel secure in your MANhood, be sure to bring along your Sugar Poofs for roasting! Must be 21 years of age to purchase. Seriously!!!

Reynolds

When someone says the name, Frank Lloyd Wright, almost everyone would say “Oh I’ve heard of him!”  I’d even bet that if you placed his work in a lineup of other notable architects, most everyone could point out his and get it Wright!
No. 2
Frank Lloyd Wright was a rock star in the world of American architecture.  Wright designed more than 1,000 projects and completed 500 of those works.  One masterpiece of many is “La Miniatura” house.  Built in 1923, it is definitely one of a kind.

Good Times!

No. 1
It's television trivia time on Reynolds Still.  Shoud you not be able to answer the question, you are allowed only ONE phone-a-friend.  I'm sure most of us have seen or at least heard of the 70's sitcom, Good Times.  Maybe you remember JJ's "Dynomite!!!"  What about the Sugar Shack painting shown at the end of the show?

Do you remember now?  Ernie Barnes is the incredible genious behind this infamous painting as well as many others.  His style is very recognizable with his use of vivd coloring, elongated forms, and unique subject matter.  I've picked out a few of my favorite and honestlly, would love to have one of his paintings hanging in my home.

Shoe Shine!

No. 1
Sometimes you just gotta make those shoes shine!  Try wearing socks with the none traditional approach of black or brown.  The HOT trend for Spring 2011 is to wear something a little unexpected like a purple sock with brown and gray.  Go BOLD or go home boys!  I'm just sayin'.....

Million Dollar Baby

No. 1
Jeffrey Alan Marks is soon to be the MILLION DOLLAR BABY on Bravo’s new reality show, Million Dollar Decorators.  The former model turned interior designer has a definite taste for clean lines with a traditional spin.  A student of London’s Inchblad School of Design, the designer is renowned for his distinctively designed, luxurious rooms.  But what I like most about each room he creates is his eye for detail, detail, detail…..

Tailor Made Art...

No.1
In the early part of the 20th century the stylish gentleman went to a tailor to have their suits and overcoats made to order.  They selected a suit style and the fabric they desired from large catalogs of men's fashions.  Though tailor made is not as common as it once was, these handsomely detailed plates from a Tailor’s catalog of Men’s Fashion would make for great art!
