It’sa Meat’aball!

I’m sure many of you have heard the acronym KISS better known as the design principle "Keep it simple, Stupid!" The KISS principle states that simplicity should be a key goal in any design. When good friends Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow were bouncing ideas to create a unique approach to opening their own restaurant, they did just that……KEPT IT SIMPLE with nothing more than your classic MEATBALL!

The Meatball Shop café, located on New York’s Lower East Side, has literally eaten up the media with nothing but enthusiastic reviews and not surprisingly so when you see the out the door line of salivating customers waiting to get their mouth wrapped around their balls! Tasteless to say but tastefully true!

Keeping it simple doesn’t mean you don’t have some options when ordering from their dry erase board menu. The cafés flavorfully seasoned meatballs come in beef and spicy pork as well as chicken, vegetable, salmon (I’m not so sure about fish balls) and a weekly special…..MEATBALLS of course! Their made to order menu gives you the opportunity to choose the type of balls, sauce and cheese served up balls only, slider, hero or smash AND comes with a variety of delectable sides. Along with your meatballs, order up an ice cold beer which is served in old quart-size milk bottles. Nice touch! If that’s not enough to make you unbutton your pants after dining, The Meatball Shop presents a TO DIE FOR ice cream sandwich dessert that is also made to order choosing from fresh baked cookies and house made ice cream! I’ll take a caramel chocolate chip please!
