Whiskey and Wood...

No. 1
If you haven’t noticed, the name Reynolds Still is infamously stamped across the timbers of the mighty wood…..look above.  So what could be more masculine than the scent of wood and whiskey? Let me introduce you to the Portland General Store.

No. 2
An online “get a whiff of this” factory that creates authentic personal care products just for men and that occasional woman who likes to butch it up every now and again.
No. 3
WHISKEY no. 006 eau de toilette
A deep woodsy and amber fragrance with a surprising hint of spice that results in a masculine scent with the magnetism of a Hollywood star!
No. 4
Tobacco Smelling Salts
The tobacco smelling salt is balanced by a hint of lavendar and has a smokey, tarry, sweet scent.  This manly product has the potential to relieve any headache and migraine you might have.

No. 5
WOOD super thick body creme
Great for soothing overworked hands, this body creme is scented with the smell of cedar, hiba, patchouli, vetiver and vanilla.  A masculine scent that can be worn by both men and women.

No. 6
Cigar Box Sampler
Just what Reynolds Still or any other man would want for Christmas!

Portland General Store is a wonderful company that makes handmade products using recipes from the 1920s and 1930s.  All their products are uniquely packaged and the scents are incredible.  I've only shared a few of my favorites but there is so much more to choose from.  You can purchase them at their online store HERE or check them out at UrbanOutfitters.

Be sure and tell them Reynolds sent ya!

Man Envy!

No. 1
Tommy Smythe

There’s much to be envious about when it comes to the impeccable taste of Tommy Smythe.  Some of you may know Tommy from seeing him on HGTV as the sidekick to Sarah Richardson’s interior design show and others may not know him at all. I’m guessing that Mr. Smythe is definitely someone that we will be hearing much about as his “young folgie” talent continues to turn heads.  I for one have a case of man envy as his MAN-terior steals the show!

A Feather in One’s Cap!

No. 1
Recently featured on Garden and Guns’ Made in the South contest, Birmingham chef Chris Hastings’ creative hobby of making custom feather pins caught my attention. This ruggedly handsome design would convey a relaxed elegance to any well-dressed gentleman. Worn on a tweed lapel or brim of a hat, these rugged pins definitely have a bespoke air about them don’t you think?!

No. 1
My good friend, James Snowden of The New Victorian Ruralist and Finders Keepers Martket, has once again shared with his readers great visuals from antique dealer, interior artist Alex MacArthur.  Looking thru every picture, I couldn’t stop thinking how each of these images is reflective of the Reynolds Still man.  Alex MacArthur is a gentleman of great taste with a masculine point of view.  Check out The New Victorian HERE!

City Boy Loafer!

No. 1
Now this is a HANDSOME shoe!  The Chesterton Penny Loafer is classic shoe design for men.  The Chesterton is a mix of tan calf leather and fine biscuit suede that compliments the light honey sole edge perfectly.  I think it would go well with a nice pair of slate gray wool trousers for that sophisticated city boy look.  You’ll have to RUSH to get a pair though as they are only available the month of November at Lodgers!

Blah, Blah, Blah Rachel McAdams, Rachel McAdams!

No. 1
Recently I attended a social gathering where I was introduced to and photographed with the ever so sweet and lovely Rachel McAdams.  Most everyone knows who this movie star is and I am no exception.  She is as breathtaking in person as she is on the silver screen.
No. 2
Her motion picture credits are numerous and the most noteworthy is the film The Notebook
No. 3
When I was asked to take a photograph with her, of course I did not hesitate to oblige.  As I walked towards where she was standing, my demeanor as a gentleman was calm, cool and collected.  Why, because I am Reynolds Still…..the guy who lives by a gentleman’s standard of living of course!!!  Once I came face to face with this beautiful young woman and she extended her hand to be shaken, I lost all composure.  As I held her hand, I began to insert foot into mouth.  Speaking nothing of any worth, my biggest mistake was to say that the ONLY movie I’ve seen of hers was Love Letters.  Looking at me with one of those tilted heads of confusion, I realized that the movie I meant to refer to was THE NOTEBOOK!  Blah, blah, blah…..
No. 4
Even a true gentleman can lose absolute composure in the presence of a beautiful woman! My apologies Rachel McAdams, Rachel McAdams!

Reynolds
